Bryce Babcock, JV Coach

Bryce was part of the third graduating class at Legacy High School back in 2005 when he left to chase a golf scholarship at Hastings College in Nebraska. After gaining a year of collegiate experience he transferred back to Metropolitan State College of Denver to pursue a career in elementary education. During this time Bryce coached lower level basketball and football at Legacy from years 2007 to present. After obtaining his degree in human development, Bryce moved on another career path that has allowed him to own his own insurance business while still taking part in the growth of high school sports and academics. Bryce prides himself on not only helping high school athletes achieve better athletic talent but preparing them how to be better people at the next level!
Taylor Groff, C-Team Coach
Taylor grew up in central Pennsylvania and had the opportunity to play basketball at Messiah College where he would attend from 2010-2014. At Messiah, Taylor had the chance to contribute to a team that would win its conference before advancing to the NCAA tournament and later, captain a team to a top 15 national ranking. After obtaining his Bachelor's in Health and Exercise Science, Taylor got married to his wife, Amy, and moved to Colorado. Taylor comes to Legacy having coached lower level basketball at both Lakewood and on the AAU level. Aside from basketball, Taylor enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and fly fishing. He is very excited to be a part of the excellent staff already in place at Legacy and hopes to contribute to the exceptional culture being established there this upcoming season.

Thank you Legacy!!

Despite my absolute pleasure being the Boys Head Basketball Coach at Legacy High School, I am
submitting my official letter of resignation. Earlier this month, I accepted a great opportunity, and they
have deemed it a conflict of interest for me to serve in multiple roles within the same county.
To that end, I am resigning from Legacy High School and super excited about my new challenge!
This decision is tough for me, especially with us growing as a program and experiencing lots of success
this spring and summer. Our players are improving each time out, and becoming a closer group.
My experience with Legacy has been fun and enlightening, and I’ve learned several great lessons over the past
two and a half years with the program. This is the right time for me to move in a different direction, and I will be available over the next couple of weeks to support the transition.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the “Legacy Strong” program, and I wish you luck next season and beyond! Go Bolts!

Sincerely,

This group of kids were spectacular to work with, and kept me laughing constantly. We all grew closer, and they got progressively better each and every tournament. We finished this week's final event with a record of 5-2 and easily could have gone 7-0. We lost two tough games to perennial powerhouse programs, Overland and Thunderidge by a combined four (4) points. THANK YOU and BIG KUDDOS to the freshmen parents, it was so awesome getting to know you all this summer! The future of Legacy Basketball is bright and I can't wait to get these guys back in the gym!
